Shall I compare thee to Love Tis like comparing the Gibbous Moon To thousands of Suns Above Love Herself pales in your bloom Shall I Compare Thee to Agape Tis like comparing one drop of morning dew To the azure blue vastness of the seas For what is love without beauty's hue But darkness wrapped up in a dream Shall I compare thee to amore Tis like placing bits of gilded glass Next to flawless diamond ore Love Herself, makes a desperate pass To be the diamond your beauty bore Through my eyes, shes wears you at last Shall I compare thee to a million hearts Singing and bathing in Love's delight Tis like comparing mud to renaissance art Mona Lisa's smile melted in your sight And angels gaze and strum their harps Shall I compare thee to love Tis like comparing a snowflake to the mighty storm cloud For the beauty of Love has its source In an unspeakable magnificence such as yours And I a poet , am but that snowflake Seeking its source...with a heart that aches For You.......

Again, Bryant, I am left speechless at your giftedness . . . beautiful, elegant, and enlivening.

AuthorThese are a sample of what I feel are some of the best poems I have written since 1998. All of them were inspired by Love. I hope they move and inspire as they did me when I wrote them ;-) ArchivesCategories
