Editing the Sky: U = God

When I walked outside yesterday, I saw a very interesting piece of skywriting (pictured). It actually really inspired me, but probably not in the way the originator intended.

If it is not legible (probably because I was a little late to behold the message) , it is an equation reading:
U + GOD = ☺

(that's a smiley face on the right side of the equation).

I cannot for sure know the intentions of the person behind this message, but If I had to hazard a guess, I would say it was Christian-inspired.

On the left side of the equation, there is an obvious separation between "U" and "God" (God in this context probably refers to the Monotheistic notion of an all-powerful, all-knowing and omnipresent Creator separate from His Creation).

Since mathematics is a language, we may be able to rearrange this equation to something more interesting (and empowering to You).

The "+" sign in the equation can be understood from Set Theory as the "Union" of elements. In this case the elements being "U" and "God". So the equation implies that when U are united with God, the union is equal to happiness.

You ∪ God = {You, God} = {Happiness}

"∪" is the union symbol in set theory and since the equation is dealing with non-numerical elements it is more apropos.

You may think I am overanalyzing this, and you what, I probably am; but I taught math and physics at the college level for 5 years, so I just could not resist LOL!

The point of all this is that the left side of the equation has YOU and GOD as separate elements or entities.

And while the union of the elements equals happiness according to this "aerial" author, it separates you from god when say you are "NOT" smiley face, which can be an indifferent state, sad state, angry state, etc. Anything besides being happy separates you from god in this equation.

In light of quantum theory, and new understandings quantum biology and transpersonal psychology, etc. we need to "refresh" our notion of God as a creator separate from us to the radical idea that "We are Gods" or more personally, You are God. 

That is, You (and you alone) have created the "reality" you perceive. The Universe is magical and fluid and gives you exactly what you hold in your minds eye. What you believe, and hold as mental images become manifest in your life. You are truly the Creator of your life! 

This understanding simplifies the equation to 

U = GOD

Perhaps I'll find an "open-minded" pilot versed in skywriting to send THIS MESSAGE!
