Claims of Andy at Gembared Responded to and/or Debunked
Regardless of Whatever Andy Believes or Does not Believe... these are the Facts:
1. I only did ONE podcast on red light therapy where I mentioned this website because I had no other to mention.
2. Outside of mentioning it on one podcast, I never promoted or advertised this website to sell any red light product. The ONLY intention behind this website was a platform to write the book, which is how I did it for my first book PEMF.
3. Only Chapters 1-13 were considered a final rough draft fit for reading. These chapters were all edited by a professional editor that was paid in total $6000 to edit the book.
Used to put the notes together for the book.
4. Appendices A-E were not edited and not considered part of the final rough draft.
5. The Final Rough Draft was submitted to Robert for the Course. It was made clear the appendices were not done.
6. The rest of the Website was NOT a part of the book and only notes to be reviewed. Each Chapter has a clear **END OF CHAPTER** reference and anything PAST that reference is ALSO only notes.
7.Final rough draft was never put through grammarly. There was every intention to do a deep edit and plagiarism check with grammarly before publishing as a printed book. This online version was never intended to be a final draft.
8. I have not really touched this website since the later part of 2024, so it has been inactive from my perspective and basically dead. I have been meaning to take it down from Roberts request, so it is fine that it is down and stays down. Again website was just mainly used as a platform to write the book, not for marketing.
9. Andy claims I heavily researched his blog which is true, but I also heavily researched just about every book published on red light therapy including several very large and technical books and many many studies. To give credit where credit is due, Andy did have a lot of great information, but I dug deep into not only his blog posts but the studies he referenced too!
10. Final Important Fact: Andy's blog was only used for Chapters parts of chapters 10-12 and Appendix A, but the only chapter flagged by grammarly was Chapter 11, Appendix A and Appendix E. Only 20 sentences out of 500 sentences (4%) in chapter 11 where flagged as gembared (Andy) text. This is WELL below Grammarly threshold for plagiarism. Chapters 1-10, 12 and 13 had ZERO flags from Gembared. In fairness, Chapter 12 in the cumulative dosing section did come from Andy's video. But Grammarly did not flag any of the content. Final note: Appendix A was very heavy on Gembared references but that was not part of the professional editing and was going to be completely rewritten along with the other appendices. Appendix E was simply research references and summaries from Gembared, but no original material Andy created.
Plagiarism Test By Grammarly Which Claims 99% Accuracy.
Here is their guidelines as to what constitutes Plagiarism:
A good plagiarism percentage is generally under 15-20%, though this varies by institution and document type. However, Grammarly's plagiarism checker is known for flagging common phrases and may not be the most accurate tool, so it's important to review flagged text carefully for false positives. A percentage below 15% is often considered acceptable, but anything above 25% can be seen as too high, especially if it's not from cited sources.
Fact: All 13 Chapters were 15% or Less, though Chapter 9 was right at 15% due to Lists that needed to be paraphrased. Even still this chapter was under the 15% Tolerance which means all 13 chapters are in the acceptable range, but most chapters were good or excellent (check and verified 3 times with grammarly plagiarism checker - summary below). Only two chapters were above 10%! Chapter 7 and 9 need a little work, along with chapter 11 and 12 to appease Andy.
