Lost daughter of Zeus
Whence came your glory
An Alexandrian Ruse
Lost the real story

The tale of the Gorgons was faulted and wrong
Medusa their leader was exalted with song
Her hair was black and sometimes braided
Not made out of snakes like a myth that’s outdated

Her eyebrows were peaceful like cattails near ponds
With brown eyes to match like two magic wands
Her golden bronzed skin was smooth, soft and clear
And her two crimson hued cheeks often caught tears

Her pearly white smile adorned with sunset red lips
Melted the heavens and sent earth Elysian drips
A rain from the heaven with manna sweetened drops
That left a golden nectarous honey on early morning crops

And all these features with a granduer beyond time
A loveliness so profound as to turn water into wine
It was her eyes that pulled the light of heaven to earth
In her eyes great artistic inspirations were given birth
In the eyes of fair Medusa lies a epic poem of many pages
And belies the myth passed down through many earthly ages
For in those twain brown lusterous spheres of grace
That were set like sapphires amidst her heavenly face
Was a magic so powerful as to turn the heavens with awe
A spell so sweet that all the world came one and all

For in those ancient days when many hearts were turned to stone
Medusa’s ineffable beauty through her eyes didst shown
And turned the hearts of Grecian throngs
Into enlightened inspired cosmic songs
Then one day, the great Perseus saught her out
To save his sweet Persephone in a sickly bout
She saw his greatness, an Olympian in the land of Greece
He awed weightless, as her sight made him light with peace

So entranced by her beauty, the warrior became a poet
With hours in solitude no one didst know it
It was not the head of medusa that turned a sea beast to stone
It was the eyes of a muse whose love from heaven didst shone

Her Immortal beauty is revealed again
Born of the heavens with Apollonian pen
With a purpose burning in her heart
To help those suffering with healing arts
But as before it was not her skills that healed
But a love so pure as to make heaven revealed
And once again she turns hardened hearts into amore
For the deepest healing is the feeling a gods’ glory

A Bronzed Beauty Beyond Nefertiti 12/26/2011

Picture
The timeless Nile flows fertile and fierce
The sands of the hourglass its drops do pierce
Into the buried past of Great Pharaohs and Queens
The most memorable of All was Nefertiti
The name which means "the beautiful one has come"
To help bring forth a revolution worshipping the Sun
The Great Solar-Disk was the symbol of the day
But it was nearly eclipsed with her beautiful face
O Royal Queen of Egypt your loveliness is entombed
In the collective hearts of man, adorned with double plume
Wearing long flowing white, you are fairest to the Pharaohs
Pyramid-like Pulchritude, your beauty rises incomparable
Though the Great Solar-Disk didst set in the past
The crowning comeliness of Nefertiti is mummified to last
But Eternal Beauty never sets but only changes her face
And she is resurrected in New York by Liberty’s grace

A Beauty That Warms The Morning Sun 12/26/2011

Picture
The morning sun grows warm by your effulgence
And in turn evaporates emerald dew
Blades of grass bask with indulgence
In timeless beams of golden hue

O jewel of Gaia whence came your glory
Pale beyond the nocturne clouds
Perhaps yours is a unknown story
A mystery your ne'er seen beauty shrouds

Oh hidden springs of immortal light
Lie within your breathless sight
Could a poet dare compare
The Majestic Sun to candlelight

Such is how words fall like summer snow
Unto sun warmed terrestial sands
Melting and crucified by beauties glow
Resurrected by only a poets hands

A Beauty Beyond the Northern Lights 12/26/2011

Your beauty outshines the Northern Lights
Dazzling and radiant my soul ignites

From bright souler flares of artistic love
Which shoot Cosmic rays from heaven above

Exciting and igniting the Aurora of my being
With rich vibrant colors that are alive and streaming

Deep healing greens and Majestic violet hues
Golden rings that sing and electrifying blues

Crimson sheets of light and pink romantic flares
The Vision shocks my sight and my lungs lose their air

My breath is taken away to the music of the spheres
And it sings the song of angels
Which moves my eyes to tears

When your Vision is seen in the starry sky of my soul
(The greatest cosmic artists must have fashioned your mold)

An Empyrean Beauty that somehow came to earth
An angel from heaven that found a human birth

Your Beauty Outshines the Northern Lights
Dazzling and Radiant our Earth Ignites

The Road I Took 12/24/2011

Picture
Two paths emerged into my life
At crossroads bridge amidst some strife
One was clear, the other opaque
The left one bright, and right one faint.

Two voices I heard with varying words
As to which path might be the right place.
Twain tales were told, one soft and one bold
The left and the right side pleaded their case.

The left was known, safe and like home
Fenced with fear, but well lit and clear
The right was an abyss, yet dark with bliss
A road with no way, and hidden from day.

Jumping the fence I called my home
I decided to leap with faith and rome
The untrodden path that ascends into stars
The lights in the sky that mistakenly seemed far

When I left my house, things started going right
I embraced the moment with no struggle or fight
But the road that I took in the nook of the night
Was a path leading in, not a road leading right.

The Golden Pearl 12/24/2011

Awake I am beyond all words
Nothing's seen and naught is heard
Scentless thoughts escape my mind
Tasteless beauty far beyond all time

Vision of you comes shining through
And breaks the shell of eternal blue
Light is seen and sounds rejoice
I smell the sea and taste your voice

Rainbows wrap around the sky
Bird sing songs and eagles fly
Comets flash and meteors shower
The sun opens like empyrean flower

My Innermost ear hammers so clear
And Stirs up my mind with melody
Anvil of grace doth forge thy face
A Symphony of sounds alas I see

Awake, Awake Aurora of Dawn
Orb of mellifluous misty song
I open my eyes in golden surprise
And feel thy rays in myriad ways

Amber flares fall from the skies
Streaks of joy through lapis eyes
I feel the deepness of thy ocean
My hearts a clam with pearls in motion

Ambrosial eyes flash from the night
I taste thy sweetness in pure delight
My mouth's in heaven with honeyed thoughts
I savor thy beauty and pearls are wrought

O Golden Pearl from infinite sea
Open with redololent rosy glee
I smell aromas crafted in heaven
That do defy both dream and sweven
I go to sleep with thoughts of you
I hear your glory and golden hue
I feel your warmth, O flaxen pearl
A taste of heaven streams to my world

(1)There is a glamorous Woman upstairs
In the upper attic of my soul
She came in on a beautiful inspiration
A wind that moves and makes me whole

There is a glorious Lady upstairs
(2)In the upper chamber of my heart
She came in through the window of my world
And turned my cobwebs into art

There is a beautiful Woman upstairs
In the upper quadrant of my mind
(3)She came in through the pores of my spirit
And filled my chalice with Love's wine

There is a ravishing Lady upstairs
In the upper Mansion of my dreams
She came in through the back door of Fate
(4)And inspired a Vision in me

(1)There is a glorious Woman upstairs
(2)In the upper chamber of my heart
(3)She came in through the pores of my spirit
(7)And inspired a new age of Love...through Art

A Beauty Beyond Mona Lisa 12/24/2011

My heart dost float on Venetian Streams
As the boat of your holy image passes by me

O Angelic Artist you stroke the canvas of my heart
And with a paintbrush of pink love you do impart

A Mona Lisa of Love that Thrills my Sistine Frame
And fills the ceiling of my being with Empyrean stain

This Masterpiece of Beauty dost gently rest
On the Altar of my soul
In the Temple of my breast

Far beyond the Beauty of Venus and Aphroditian Form
Your Beauty may inspire the greatest art ever born

The Noble Soul of Michealangelo
Marvels at your artistic grace
And the spirit of Leonardo
Wishes he could have captured your face

These are a sample of what I feel are some of the best poems I have written since 1998. All of them were inspired by Love. I hope they move and inspire as they did me when I wrote them ;-)
