The Late Sunrise 12/26/2011
Arise, Arise O Sun of the East Where hast though been This wondrous Spring eve Tis Seven at night and usually thou dost set But this blessed day though didst rise As fair snow-white beauty didst melt these eyes Tear drops fall in speechless wonder Words fall flat and fall asunder Arise, Arise O Sun of high noon Your scorching beauty sings heavens tune As I bask in the rays of your uplifting sight Your hot summer glow burns my soul with delight The sizzling breezeless day erupts passion in my flesh Your bare cloudless glory is a vision Im obsessed Like Icarus I build wings in vain To climb the breeze upward insane For what wings can touch the heat of you Melted like wax amidst azure blue Arise, Arise O Setting sun Your motion flows backwards all things undone Into the setting darkness where the light of the stars Are twinkling memories of your beauty afar The silvery moonbeams are just photons tears One night w/o you seems like endless years Til the sun rises again and begins her upward climb Following heavens rhythms and always on time I too shall climb the heavens in desperate search for you And rise like the sun amidst the azure blue If my wings melt like snowflakes in the beauty of your face Then I shall write myself another pair by Goddess Poesy's grace This never-ending poem is infinite as Creation's Light But now the Sun dost set and I must bid you Good Night CommentsLeave a Reply | AuthorThese are a sample of what I feel are some of the best poems I have written since 1998. All of them were inspired by Love. I hope they move and inspire as they did me when I wrote them ;-) ArchivesCategoriesAll |
